The
area around Gevrey-Chambertin offers natural surroundings full of wealth.
The
remarkable flora is typical of the Combe Lavaux, where southern submediterranian
plants meet prealpine and continental vegitation of the north.
Animal
life is also diverse, ranging from more common species, such as the
roe deer, to the rare perigine falcon that nests in the Combe Lavaux.
The
Sentier du Tacot is a new path, also accessible to bikes, which follows
30 km of former railway restored by the municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin.
